This system is beautifully simple and exceptionally straightforward to install. The system works on the 'drain back' principle which means that during periods of excess sunshine, when your hot water cylinder is at full temperature, the fluid in the solar panel drains back into a special reservoir. This prevents the fluid boiling under 'stagnation' conditions. Furthermore, since the system is not working under high pressures like other solar systems, no provision is needed for an expansion vessel. The 250 litre cylinder comes complete with pump and controller already integrated and all that is needed to complete the solar circuit are the pipes to connect the panel. PANEL DETAILS High Efficiency through Perfect Details This flat panel has won numerous German awards for efficiency, quality and value for money. It came top when tested as a system by ISFH 2001 for a 4 person household in Wurzburg, Germany with a 300 litre cylinder and 5 square metres of panel. The output was recorded as an incredible 546kWh/m2a. The panel has a highly selective flat plate absorber with a vacuum applied coating which minimises radiation losses and 60mm of back insulation with perfectly wrapped sides to minimise heat losses. The collector is fitted with sunarc anti-reflective safety glass which increases thermal yield by upto 10% as a result of its special nanostructure. High Quality Materials The frame is made from black anodised aluminium with weather resistant EPDM seals. The corner joints of the rubber seals are vulcanised. The copper absorber plate is ultra-sonically welded to the internal pipe arrangement. Excellent Price/Performance Ratio The panels are tested according to the European norm EN 12975, the CE label and have repeatedly won awards from the Independent Institute for Consumer Good Testing in Germany "Stiftung Warentest". Simple and Fast installation Through the use of well developed and proven mounting kits, illustrated assembly instructions and solder-free connections, these panels are extremely easy to install. Adaptable Arrangements and Installations Another advantage of this excellent panel is that it can be mounted on-roof, in-roof, horizontally or vertically. On-roof; Without the need to remove any part of the roof, the panels can be mounted either horizontally or vertically with rails on roof brackets. The roof brackets are available in three different types depending on the type of roof covering. Up to four collectors can be connected in series. Short, well insulated flexible tubes make connection straightforward and allow for any expansion and contraction. In-roof; Attractive in-roof installation is possible for roofs with a minimum pitch of 27 degrees and with any roof covering. The panels are installed with the connections to the top and the corrugated flashings can be joined without solder. Free-standing; It is also possible for the panels to be installed in horizontal or vertical orientations on stands with adjustable pitches. Concrete slabs or gravel covered aluminium trays can be used as foundations. COMPONENT WARRANTIES Solar Collectors 10 YEARS Solar Cylinder 5 YEARS Other Components and Consumables 2 YEARS
