Solar Battery
The battery acts as the central storage device and should be placed as close as possible to the centre of circuit. This avoids long cable routes. The solar battery should be located in a cool, frost-free, dry and well ventillated area. If the battery is exposed to extreme changes in temperature it can lose over half its charge.
Battery Life
The battery solely serves to store electrical charge and has a limited capacity. Its performance and service life are dependant on the number of charge/discharge cycles and the extent to which it is discharged. To prolong the life of the battery it is recommended to reduce the depth of discharge the battery reaches during each charge/discharge cycle. For a normal average daily discharge it is recommended that your battery should not go below 50%.
